Are NBA refs impacting the game too much this season?
The Los Angeles Lakers lost a closely contested overtime battle against the Boston Celtics on Jan. 28, but more people are talking about what the referees did instead of the actual play on the court. Late in the game, the refs missed a blatant foul that would’ve gave LeBron James and the Lakers a chance to win the game in regulation at the free throw line. More devastating for Los Angeles on the road was that Boston were allowed to tie the game with assistance from the refs by having a foul called just seconds beforehand. With other stars like Golden State’s Steph Curry getting ejected, are NBA refs impacting the game too much? Also, what should be done to revamp the coach’s challenge system?
