
W.T. White girls basketball team earns first playoff win
DALLAS — The W.T. White High School girls basketball team celebrated its first ever district championship during the recent season and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
In the second round, the team lost to Frisco Liberty but the team loved making school history in District 11-5A with one playoff win.

The Lady Horns had previously been to the playoffs six times but never have been victorious.
In their first round playoff game, the ladies won in convincing fashion 56 to 9 over Spruce High School.
In their first playoff win, the ladies were led by Kaylie Carr with 23 points, Stella Suek with 14 points, Makala McKenzie with 8 points and Dayja Ambriz with 7 points. In addition, the senior leadership of Olivia Anozie and Joy Young were a vital part of the win.
Congratulation to second year coach Kiarra Shofner and her staff for all their hard work this basketball season.
