The dominant showing came with a few historic marks for the Trail Blazers guard, marking his fifth 60-point game and now the eighth-highest scoring game in league history. The milestones continued, with Lillard’s outburst marking the first time a player has hit 70 points in under 40 minutes.
With a new career-high, and a record for first half points this year, Lillard’s Sunday night display added to what has been a busy scoring season. The Trail Blazers and Rockets matchup became the 21st game this season where an individual player has scored over 50. With impressive showings from Lillard already this campaign, the game ties the current season-high.
As players around the league aim for new scoring marks, Lillard has successfully entered his name twice into the NBA’s top-5 scoring games of the 2022-23 season. With that said, here are the top 10 from this year.
