Top 10 Virginia HS baseball players in Class of 2023
9. Heath Andrews, P, James River
James River Knights’ two-way star Heath Andrews excels at the shortstop position in the field, earning second-team Class 2A all-state honors there; but he is better known for his work on the mound. Andrews is ranked as the No. 17 player in Virginia by Perfect Game and the No. 10 player by PBR.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-hander led James River with a 2.68 ERA and he was recognized as the Three Rivers District Player of the Year.
Following his time with the Knights, Andrews is set to play for North Carolina State where he signed in November. This season, he will look to help James River repeat as district champs before heading to Raleigh, North Carolina.
Thank you for everyone that attended my signing. Thank you for Teachers, Coaches, Family, and Friends that have helped me get to this point in my life.
