Top 10 Virginia HS baseball players in Class of 2023
8. JJ Glasscock, P, Fluvanna County
Another elite right-handed pitcher, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Glasscock is ranked as the No. 15 prospect in the Commonwealth by Perfect Game and the No. 8 player in Virginia by PBR. Last season, Glasscock recorded 102 strikeouts with just seven earned runs in 52.2 innings for the Flying Flucos. This earned Glasscock all-district and All-Central Virginia honors as a junior.
Glasscock will continue his baseball career collegiately after he signed with the West Virginia University Mountaineers on National Signing Day. The senior will aim to improve on his impressive numbers a year ago with the Flucos this spring.
This guy is a Mountaineer at heart! @GlasscockJj is an instant impact RHP with an incredibly bright future. The electric stuff paired with unmatched competitiveness puts JJ in a class of his own. #HailWV || #ArmsOfMorgantown pic.twitter.com/dEXzkxhThJ
