Jamestown, N.D. – Grand View women’s wrestling would wrap up the inaugural NAIA National Women’s Wrestling National Championship, earning a program-best finish of 3rd place and Alexis Gomez earned runner-up as the first Viking to ever make the finals. The Vikings would see their lone stander in Alexis Gomez at 143. Gomez would match up against Emily Se from Southern Oregon. Se would strike first and would get a two-point takedown, following Se’s takedown Gomez would get an escape, but couldn’t find a way to score the rest of the match.
