2023 World Baseball Classic’s biggest standouts

10. Patrick Sandoval, P, Mexico

After breaking out for Los Angeles last season with a 2.91 ERA, the 26-year-old was one of the best pitchers in the tournament for Team Mexico. Despite the loss in the semifinals against Japan, Sandoval struck out six batters in 4.1 innings of work. He was one of many Angels that shined bright on the big stage.
