Lopez, Lombardi Stroke Three Hits Each as Baseball Falls to Felician
LYNDHURST, N.J. — The Cougars baseball team banged out 14 hits but it wasn’t enough as they fell at Felician in their CACC opener, 12-3, at Breslin Field. Graduate CF Joshua Lopez (Nanuet, N.Y.) and sophomore LF Liam Lombardi (Stony Point, N.Y.) each had three hits and freshman SS Malik Little (Bergenfield, N.J.), freshman 3B Michael Cruz (Miami) and junior 1B Zach Saunders (Adelphi, Md.) rapped out two hits each, but the Cougars (6-8, 0-1 CACC) stranded 10 runners in a 12-3 loss in the CACC opener for both squads.
