Tigers Outlast Hard-Charging Wildcats in Marathon Fifth Set
COLUMBIA, S.C. – In easily the longest game-deciding set-in program history, the Wildcats’ complete comeback slipped through its paws. After fighting off three match points and not being able to capitalize on two of its own, Fort Valley State committed two attack errors and were outlasted by Benedict College, 21-19, in set five to fall 3-2 in Friday night men’s volleyball. In the fifth set, the Wildcats (5-15/2-2 SIAC) put up four points in a row for an 8-6 lead when the teams switched sides.
