Men’s Tennis Falls Short Against FGCU
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – UNF men’s tennis (10-5, 3-1 ASUN) came just barely short of a victory against a tough Florida Gulf Coast (8-8, 3-1 ASUN) team Sunday afternoon. The Ospreys began the match in a hard fought battle as Matt Carroll and Bruno Vietri secured a 6-4 victory on the second court. Shortly after, Andreas Scott and Breno Marques fell, 6-4, leaving the tiebreaker up to the remaining court. Jonas Hartenstein and Rodrigo Crespo clinched the doubles point for UNF in a 7-3 tiebreaker win. The Ospreys had tough competition in singles play as three first sets went into tiebreakers.…
