Sunday’s Game versus Eagles Halted due to Rain
CARY, North Carolina — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore softball team’s contest against North Carolina Central on Sunday, March 26 was halted due to rain in the fifth inning. Two pitches were thrown in the bottom of the frame with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference foes tied at 3-3, before heavy rain sent the teams back to their dugouts. The game was officially halted at 2:33 p.m. The sides battled the elements all day.
