ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell senior forward Ben Berard has signed an amateur tryout with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars, the organization announced Thursday. Berard recently wrapped up his senior year with the Big Red, registering a team-high 11 goals to go along with 17 assists. His 17 assists and 28 points were both single-season highs for the native of Duncan, British Columbia. During his four-year tenure on East Hill, Berard recorded 68 points (32 goals, 36 assists) over 87 games with the Big Red.
