Tampa Bay Buccaneers mock draft 2023: Pick-by-pick predictions

No. 153, Round 5: Cameron Young, IDL, Mississippi State

Vea is coming off his best season in the NFL but the rest of Tampa Bay’s interior defensive line was underwhelming this past season. Rookie Logan Hall will hopefully take a step forward in his second year but getting some more youth in the interior would go a long way to keeping the Tampa Bay defense dangerous. Young is a force in the run game. He’s big, strong and knows how to set himself up to stop the run. The Mississippi State product isn’t a pass rusher but playing behind Vea at nose tackle is the right place for Young to start his NFL career.
