Houston Texans mock draft 2023: Pick-by-pick predictions
HOUSTON (BVM) – The Houston Texans seemed like a lock for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft before a shocking Week 18 comeback win against the Colts led to a 3-13-1 record, allowing the Chicago Bears to snag the top selection.
While the Bears have since traded that pick to the Carolina Panthers, the Texans remain at No. 2 in the draft where they will likely look to take their next franchise quarterback after trading Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns last offseason.
It’s the picks they received in that trade with the Browns that will be crucial in this year’s draft, as Houston has five selections within the draft’s top 75 picks. With 12 picks in all, the Texans should be able to stockpile young talent as they look to finally begin a successful rebuild.
