San Francisco 49ers mock draft 2023: Pick-by-pick predictions

No. 101, Round 3: Trey Palmer, WR, Nebraska

While the 49ers drafted Danny Gray in the third round of last year’s draft, finding impact playmakers at the team’s skill positions has proved to be an important move over the past few years due to their consistent injury issues. A blazing 4.33 40-yard dash by Palmer has the chance to move the Nebraska product up teams’ draft board, but landing on to a team that knows how to use speed makes him a near perfect fit. After transferring from LSU following three seasons at the program, Palmer racked up over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns in his lone season with the Huskers.
