KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (BVM) – Spring games around the country are always good for far-too early reactions and overreactions but Saturday’s Orange & White game provided Tennessee fans with an early opportunity to see the future of the Volunteers program.
Head coach Josh Heupel and his staff are preparing to build off their 11-2 campaign from a season ago that included a No. 1 spot atop the AP polls and an Orange Bowl victory. With many of the team’s key contributors from the Volunteers’ past year set to be selected in the upcoming NFL draft, the next cycle of players took center stage at Neyland Stadium.
With the 10th-ranked recruiting class for 2023, and a mix of quarterbacks slotting in following the end of Hendon Hooker’s career with the team, there was plenty to keep an eye out for during the Volunteers’ scrimmage.
