Dae Dae Hunter enters transfer portal; Top 5 landing spots

LYNCHBURG, Va. (BVM) – Dae Dae Hunter has re-entered the transfer portal after originally withdrawing from the portal during the winter. The Liberty running back rushed for 850 yards and eight touchdowns on 129 carries in nine games before a knee injury ended his season. Hunter added another 18 receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown in the passing game.

Hunter ran for 850 yards and 8 touchdowns for an average of 6.6 yards per carry in 2022.

Hunter played his first two seasons at Hawaii, then transferred to Liberty to play for Hugh Freeze. Freeze is now at Auburn, and Hunter is doubling down on his own decision to leave.
Prior to the knee injury, Hunter was averaging 6.6 yards per carry for the Flames. Against BYU, he had the best game of his career, rushing for 213 yards and a touchdown in Liberty’s 41-14 win over the Cougars.
Hunter was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2020 out of Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona. As a senior for the Wolves, Hunter had 1,748 rushing yards on 152 carries as well as 33 touchdowns.
