5 standouts from the Oklahoma Sooners’ spring game
NORMAN, Okla. (BVM) – Saturday was an exciting day in Norman, Oklahoma, as Oklahoma Sooners fans got a preview of what the team might look like this fall with the program’s annual spring game which ended with the White Team (defense) defeating the Red Team (offense), 84-82.
Making the day even more special was the celebration of one of Oklahoma’s all-time greats, Kyler Murray, who was honored with a bronze statue in Heisman Park outside of Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

While the celebration for Murray was one of the big headlines, it was the play on the field in front of a large crowd of over 54,000 people that should have fans excited for the future.
Following a disappointing 6-7 season in Brent Venables’ first year at the helm, Oklahoma is looking to get back to the top of a new-look Big 12 in 2023. In order to do that, the Sooners will need standout play from several of their young talents, and there were certainly some impressive performances on Saturday that have the future looking bright in Norman. Here are five players that stood out from Oklahoma’s spring game.
