Tyler Buchner enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for QB

A return to California could be in the cards for the San Diego native. The quarterback also has a connection to the university as his sister plays beach volleyball for the Golden Bears.

Cal could use a quarterback after losing last season’s starter Jack Plummer to the portal. Fortunately, they added TCU transfer Sam Jackson V, though he has only played in six games with only six pass attempts. While Jackson V has had a strong spring, perhaps the Golden Bears would be interested in adding more competition and a more experienced true passer to the team as Jackson V continues his development.
