7-foot Warren Washington transferring; Top 5 landing spots

TEMPE, Ariz. (BVM) – Warren Washington is no stranger to finding a new college basketball home. Coming out of Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, California as a three-star recruit, the 7-foot big man began his collegiate career at Oregon State.

After sitting out the 2019-20 season due to transfer rules at that time, Washington took his talents to Nevada where he had two strong seasons in which he averaged over 10 points and six rebounds for the Wolf Pack. Last year, Washington found himself in the transfer portal again, this time finding a spot back in the Pac-12 with Arizona State.

Last season, Washington started 34 games for the Sun Devils, averaging 9.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. He was a catalyst on both ends for an Arizona State team that went 23-13 and made the NCAA Tournament.

Early last month, Washington declared for the NBA draft while maintaining his eligibility. Recently, the former ASU big man also announced that he was entering the transfer portal, meaning he will be playing for his fourth team in five seasons come 2023-24.

Here are five programs Washington could be playing for next season.
