Top 10 South Carolina Gamecocks football players of all time
9. Melvin Ingram, DL/OLB (2007-2011)
Ingram was a force to be reckoned with. He could wreak havoc in a variety of ways. The 6-foot-2, 250-pound hybrid linebacker/edge rusher tallied 111 career tackles for the Gamecocks, with 30.5 of his tackles going for a loss. Plus he added 21.5 sacks, which includes nine in his junior year and 10 as a senior. The North Carolina native also earned a 2011 consensus All-America award. Then he moved on to the NFL.
Ingram would be a 2012 first-round draft pick (18th overall) by the San Diego Chargers.
