Grahek Named Rookie of the Week

BOSTON – The University at Albany softball’s Deanna Grahek was named the America East Rookie of the Week, announced Monday. A Georgetown, Ontario native, Grahek led the team with a .600 batting average in a three-game sweep over the second seed in the America East Championship, Binghamton. Earning a .750 on-base percentage through three starts, the freshman shortstop added two runs. This is Grahek’s first career conference award.
