Nelson signs with Seattle
NORTH BAY, Ont. — Ty Nelson has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Seattle Kraken, the National Hockey League club announced Thursday. Seattle selected defenceman Nelson of the Ontario Hockey League’s North Bay Battalion in the third round, 68th overall, of the NHL Draft last July. The average annual value of the contract is $925,000. Nelson, the No. 1 pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens minor midgets, has played two full seasons with North Bay, scoring 33 goals and earning 94 assists for 127 points in 133 games.
