
Baseball drops series to Queens after falling in finale
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Queens notched a second straight shutout of the Bellarmine University baseball team, notching an 11-0 win Sunday at Knights Field to secure their ASUN series. Bellarmine’s struggles at the plate carried over from Saturday, as the Knights (12-40, 7-20 ASUN) registered only five hits against Queens (15-36, 8-19) and right-hander Zach Kelly, who tossed a 7.0-inning, complete-game shutout while striking out nine. Bellarmine had chances to build momentum, but Queens was able to throw baserunners out at home in the second and third innings.
