BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Empire 8 has announced the 2023 Softball All-Conference Selections. Abbigail Doherty (Clarence, NY, Clarence) was named to the third team for her stellar year behind the plate. Doherty led the team offensively this season. She finished the season with a .368 batting average, a .471 slugging percentage, and a .385 on base percentage. She totaled 32 hits with five doubles and two triples. She added 12 RBIs and went 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts. Behind the plate, she had 114 putouts this season with 12 assists. She also caught seven runners stealing.
