Yes, the Celtics are on to the Eastern Conference finals, but this will be a very interesting offseason for Boston. Both Jayson Tatum and Brown were selected to All-NBA teams. That means both players are now eligible for supermax contract extensions. Will Boston decide to pay both?

The Celtics could make it work, but much of their roster depth would have to be sacrificed in order to do so. They could go that route, but it is hard to imagine that they would not at least entertain trade offers for Brown who will be a free agent following the 2023-24 season.
