There have already been whispers of Young being on the outs with the Hawks organization throughout this past year. Is that still the case since the coaching change? This will be the No. 1 question surrounding Atlanta this offseason. There should be a lot of conversations this summer between the two sides on what they both expect going forward.
The tricky part for Young is that he is locked up through the 2025-26 season with a player option for 2026-27. Typically one to two years remaining is more of the sweet spot for a star to want out, so a trade request could be complicated to work out this summer.
