Mye’Joi Williams Secures Ticket to NCAA Championships
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior Mye’Joi Williams punched her ticket to the NCAA Track and Field Championships with a ninth-place finish in the women’s shot put. Williams tossed 17.23m (56-6.5 ft.) at the West Prelims to advance. She becomes the first Redbird to qualify for NCAA Championship meet in the women’s shot put since Jianna Williams did so in 2015. The women’s long jump competition saw ISU junior Melissa Parrella competing as part of flight one of four. The Venezuela native jumped to a final distance of 6.08m (19-11.5 ft.), allowing Parrella to finish 17th overall amongst the field of 48.…
