PUEBLO, Colo. (May 26, 2023) – Lubbock Christian University had George Garcia qualify for the finals of the 400-meter run Saturday, as the Chaparrals and Lady Chaparrals track and field programs opened their participation in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday at ThunderBowl. Garcia, a native of El Paso, Texas, won his heat with a time of 46.12. It was the third-best qualifying time for Saturday’s finals and he is the only freshman in the finals.
