PUEBLO, Colo. – The 2023 season for the Cal State San Marcos men’s track & field team came to an end at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday night at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl. Nick Melanese placed 16th overall as he recorded a time of 1:53.67 in the third heat of the men’s 800-meter run. It was his sixth-fastest time in the event this season. Melanese was the first-ever CSUSM men’s track & field student-athlete to compete at the NCAA Championships.
