Endicott College just defeated Ithaca to break through an NCAA glass ceiling that had long contained its baseball program. Shortly after the Gulls got the last out and dogpiled on the field on Sagturday, celebrating the school’s first-ever trip to the Division III World Series, coach Bryan Haley got a text from UConn’s Jim Penders. “Keep proving Leo Durocher wrong,” Penders wrote.
