
Craven signs pro deal with Frontier League’s Schaumburg Boomers
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Matt Craven took his game to a new level this season. And as a result, the former Bellarmine University right-hander has landed at the next level. On Monday, Craven signed a professional contract with the Schaumburg Boomers of the independent Frontier League. Craven was contacted Sunday afternoon by the Boomers, who are based in Schaumburg, Illinois. After a family get-together for Memorial Day, the Louisville native packed up and signed his pro contract the next morning on Monday in Chicago.
