OKLAHOMA CITY – Despite a complete game effort from Mariah Lopez in the circle, the 12th-ranked and 15th-seeded University of Utah softball team fell 4-1 to the No. 7 Washington Huskies in their Women’s College World Series opener on Friday afternoon at OGE Energy Field at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. Utah must now wait until 8:30 p.m. CT (7:30 p.m. MT) on Friday, when they’ll face Oklahoma State in an elimination game.
