Taryn Kern enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for star
1. Stanford
Stanford was one of the NCAA Tournament teams that came the closest to dethroning Oklahoma. With two losses to the Sooners 2-0 and 4-2, the Cardinal seem like they could have defeated the back-to-back champions with a bit more weaponry. This is where Kern could come in and help immensely.
Despite finishing second in the country in team earned run average with a 1.50, Stanford ranked No. 119 in scoring. Kern’s Hoosiers ranked No. 8 in the country in scoring, in which the second baseman played a major role. With fellow star freshman NiJaree Canady on the mound for the Cardinal, adding Kern to help lift the team’s offense would be a match made in heaven for Stanford for years to come.
