Omar Melendez Earns USA Collegiate National Team Invite

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Pitcher Omar Melendez became the first Alabama State University baseball player to be invited to the USA Collegiate National Team training camp this summer. Melendez adds the invite to a growing list of honors that includes Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Second-Team All-American, SWAC Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-SWAC. He was also invited to the HBCU All-Star Game in Atlanta, Ga., and to the inaugural HBCU Swingman Classic in Seattle, Washington.
