Sands Inks Vicente Marzilio

LUBBOCK, Texas – Head coach Greg Sands has signed former North Texas standout Vicente Marzilio to a National Letter of Intent Tuesday. The former Conference USA Freshman of the Year in 2020-21, Marzilio signed with the Mean Green and former UNT assistant James Vargas, who was announced as the Red Raiders associate head coach last week. A three-time NCAA Regional participant, Marzilio made an immediate impact in 2020-21, becoming the first Mean Green player since 2015 to win individual medalist honors at the conference championships.
