Top 10 players who were not selected in 2023 NBA Draft

8. Markquis Nowell, G

Maybe there are some undrafted guys out there who are more talented than Nowell, but nobody will forget the show he put on during the NCAA Tournament for Kansas State, leading the Wildcats all the way to the Elite Eight. On the year, the first-team All-Big 12 performer and Bob Cousy Award winner averaged 17.6 points, 8.3 assists and 2.6 steals as a true threat on both ends of the court. He had nine assists or more in each of the Wildcats’ four NCAA Tournament games, including a ridiculous 19 in their Sweet 16 matchup against Michigan State. Nowell can shoot, pass and defend, but the main concern is his 5-foot-8, 160-pound frame. Short players have excelled in the league before, however, and Nowell plays with incredible heart and a chip on his shoulder. He has the potential to develop into a Fred VanVleet-type player, and will begin his NBA career in similar fashion to VanVleet on a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors.
