Melendez Nabs Third All-American Honor

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State Univerfsity lefty Omar Melendez earned his third All-American honor brining homw Second-Team American Baseball Coaches Association All-Amiercan honors. Melendez adds to his laundry list of honors that includes NCBWA Third-Team All-Amerian, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Second-Team All-American, SWAC Pitcher of the Year, and First-Team All-SWAC. The sophomore posted a perfect 12-0 record and led the SWAC in wins (12/2nd NCAA), ERA (2.52/16th NCAA), and complete games (4/3rd NCAA).
