SEATTLE (BVM) – The group of eight hitters ready to take center stage for the 2023 MLB Home Run Derby is officially set, with the headliner being two-time winner Pete Alonso.
The New York Mets slugger has enjoyed some historic performances in the event over the years as he’s slid his way into MLB All-Star weekend lore. From Ken Griffey’s iconic Camden Yards’ B&O warehouse homer to Bryce Harper’s battle in 2018 with Kyle Schwarber, the derby has found a way to create memorable moments over the years.
