After officially taking over for quarterback Cade McNamara last season, the former five-star quarterback recruit showed just why Wolverines coaches and fans were ready to get a glimpse of him in the starting job. McCarthy propelled the Michigan offense in his first full season under center, passing for 2,719 yards and 22 touchdowns.
