The Dodgers have already traded for Lance Lynn and Joe Kelly, but never count them out of anything. If Verlander is actually on the market, Los Angeles might be willing to continue to add its rotation. Kershaw was the only starter keeping it afloat and now he is out for the foreseeable future. More reliable arms could be the Dodgers’ ticket to a World Series run. The last time LA completed a similar move was when they traded for Verlander’s current teammate, Max Scherzer, who posted a 1.98 ERA in 11 outings as a Dodger.
