Jonathan Taylor seeking trade; Top 5 landing spots for RB

INDIANAPOLIS (BVM) – Just one week into NFL training camps starting up, running backs across the league have already begun to make waves due to their displeasure at the current standing of the position.

With Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs grabbing early headlines surrounding their franchise tag statuses, Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor added his name into the mix, with sources sharing that the rising fourth-year back formally requested a trade after meeting with owner Jim Irsay.

With question marks involving the future of a number of running backs around the game, Taylor’s recent demand falls right in line with a growing sentiment from some of the position’s top players. The Colts owner had recently criticized running backs’ desire to alter salaries in the CBA, calling the move “inappropriate.”

Following a sophomore season in which he rushed for over 1,800 yards, Taylor found himself on pace to crack over 1,000 yards again in 2023 had he not been sidelined for a portion of the season. With the goal of making it back to that level again heading into 2023, the Colts running back has suddenly hit an early road block.

With a recent back injury reportedly sustained away from his time with the team, the Colts are considering putting the running back on the non-football injury list, which could result in the team withholding his salary according to ESPN.

With that in mind, and his recent trade request, here’s a few landing spots for the star running back if the Colts decide to move on in his desired direction.
