Field hockey outlasts Stonehill in double overtime thriller

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross field hockey team outlasted Stonehill College in double overtime, 1-0, to earn a win in their season opening game on Friday afternoon at the Hart Turf Field. The Skyhawks (0-1) came out strong in the first half, outshooting the Crusaders (1-0) 6-2, while drawing three corners. The two teams played even in the second half, picking up four shots and four corners each.
