
Banitt Named A-10 Player of the Week
CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago right-side hitter Emily Banitt has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Banitt, who picks up the second weekly honor of her career, propelled the Ramblers to an upset victory over No. 16 Purdue on the opening weekend of action. In the upset over the Boilermakers, Loyola’s first ranked win since taking down No. 9 Purdue on Sept. 14, 2004, Banitt had a career day offensively.
