NFC North’s top 5 breakout candidates in 2023
CHICAGO (BVM) – Although the NFC North is projected to be one of the weaker divisions in the NFL this season, it could very well be one of the most competitive.
The Minnesota Vikings are the reigning division champions and still feature plenty of offensive talent, while the Green Bay Packers have a young, high-upside roster, but will be in their first season in a decade-and-a-half with a quarterback not named Aaron Rodgers under center.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions are the popular pick by many to take home the division crown in 2023 after winning eight of 10 games to end last season while adding talented pieces in the draft, and the Chicago Bears figure to be much improved after also having a strong draft and adding valuable pieces in free agency.
Having a different look than it has in recent years, the NFC North should provide some exciting action this fall, and a lot of that is thanks to its young collection of talent. Ranging anywhere from gifted defenders to skilled offensive playmakers to a couple of intriguing quarterbacks, the division has several players who could take a big step forward in 2023.
