Juncaj Named CAA Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND – University at Albany defensive end Anton Juncaj has been named the Coastal Athletic Conference (CAA) Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday morning. Juncaj and the Great Danes opened the season with a dominating 34-13 win at home over visiting Fordham. In that game, Juncaj recorded an unprecedented four sacks, a UAlbany single-game record. The defense as a whole set records as well – collecting 10 sacks in total on the Rams, another UAlbany single-game record.
