Hockey East has announced the 2023-24 preseason poll, revealing the rankings of the teams according to the votes from the league’s head coaches. Northeastern has claimed the top spot with eight first-place votes, followed by Vermont in second place. Providence and UConn secured the third and fourth positions, respectively, with each team receiving one first-place vote. Boston University and Boston College rank fifth and sixth, while Maine, New Hampshire, Merrimack, and Holy Cross round out the bottom of the list. The Merrimack Women’s Ice Hockey team will begin their season against the Clarkson Golden Knights on September 23rd.
