La’el Collins released; 5 potential landing spots for OT
CINCINNATI (BVM) – After signing with the Cincinnati Bengals just one year ago, La’el Collins is once again a free agent. The offensive tackle started 15 games for the Bengals last season before tearing his ACL during a game on Christmas Eve.

Though Collins struggled early in his tenure in Cincinnati, leading to one of the lowest Pro Football Focus grades of his career, he appeared to have rebounded by year’s end with some solid performances. However, the Bengals decided to sign free agent All-Pro left tackle Orlando Brown in the offseason and moved last year’s left tackle, Jonah Williams, over to the right side, bumping Collins out of the starting lineup during his recovery.
Instead of keeping Collins or his money owed on the books, the Bengals decided to move forward with the new offensive line, thus allowing the experienced tackle to find a new home. At 30 years old and with plenty of successful seasons under his belt, particularly during his six years with the Dallas Cowboys, Collins should be seen as a potential upgrade to many offensive lines across the league.
