Miners blanked at Illinois Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Missouri S&T’s women’s soccer team was shut out for the second straight time in Great Lakes Valley Conference play Sunday afternoon, as Illinois Springfield made a first half goal hold up in a 1-0 win over the Miners. Carolyne Mathenia scored the only goal of the contest for the Prairie Stars (1-2-3, 1-1 GLVC) as she scored in the 27th minute of action.
