Abonnel Named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Louis junior goalkeeper Jeremi Abonnel was named the Atlantic 10 Conference men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced today. Abonnel was between the posts as SLU and VCU played to a scoreless draw Friday night in Richmond, Virginia. Abonnel made six saves for the Bills and fought off 13 VCU corner kicks, including 10 in the second half alone, to keep the clean sheet. It was the first shutout for the Bills this season.
